We're currently advocating with our MA legislators to support S397 and H548, both acts to promote raising public awareness about safe firearm storage, to reduce risks of firearm tragedies to children and teens due to unsecured firearms.

Please join our 11th annual Wear Orange Proclamation event for all victims and survivors of gun violence on Friday, June 5th from 10:00-10:40 AM at the Woburn Common area. We encourage everyone to wear something orange. We do distribute orange ribbon pins to everyone.

The Stoneham Human Rights Commission and Grassroots for Gun Violence Prevention are partnering to host a free community screening of “All the Empty Rooms” on Monday, June 22 from 7-8pm at the Stoneham Public Library to honor gun violence awareness month.
“All the Empty Rooms” is an Oscar-winning 2026 documentary short film directed by Joshua Seftel and produced by CBS News’ Steve Hartman. The film follows Hartman and a photographer as they capture the bedrooms of children killed in American school shootings. The screening will be followed by a discussion of the film and a conversation about ways to take meaningful action. All are welcome.

Join us for this opportunity to table with the Public Education Team whether you're new to tabling or or an experienced volunteer! We’ll offer a craft for kids and talk to adults about secure firearm storage. We’ll also raise awareness about the November ballot question that will keep MA safe from gun violence.
The Stoneham Farmers Market has welcomed conversations about gun violence prevention since we first approached them in 2022. Come out to volunteer and stay to check out the vendors and enjoy live music!
